2015 Organic Survey Underway

USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) is gearing up to conduct the 2015 Certified Organic Survey, a census of all operations identified as having certified organic production. The results will be released in September 2016.

The survey, which covers organic acreage, production, sales, and marketing practices, provides detailed, unbiased information for business planning and assessing the economic impact and geographic distribution of organic farming.

The results also influence decisions regarding farm policy, funding allocations, availability of goods and services, community development and other key issues—providing a factual basis for government programs and research funding.
